Home Computer Networks Design & Installation Service
Home computer networks were originally installed to support maybe just one “techy” user for email and internet access. Going back a few years; most families either didn’t need or couldn’t afford more than one computer.
Nowadays, in addition to using computers for e-mail, people use them for schoolwork, shopping, instant messaging, downloading music and videos, and playing games. For many families, one computer is no longer enough. In a household with multiple computers, a home computer network often becomes a necessity rather than an expensive luxury.
Computer networks for the home can be installed using either wired or wireless technology. A wired system has been the traditional choice in homes, but Wi-Fi wireless technologies have surpassed the use of Wired in recent years. Both wired and wireless can claim advantages over the other; both represent practical options for home.
The home computer network has evolved to support a growing number of networkable devices which include; CCTV Systems, TV Systems, Home Media Servers, Blu-Ray Recorders, VoIP Telephone Systems and Alarm Systems. Many of these modern devices can be accessed and controlled by a computer’s web browser or product specific software.
Home entertainment products that have built in DNLA functionality will allow the sharing of content between a wide range of products connected to a home computer network. For example; you could record a TV programme on a recording device located in the lounge, then playback the content on a TV located in an upstairs bedroom without physically moving the record device. The content is simply streamed over your WiFi or Wired home network.
Prior to quoting for the installation of our home computer networks, one of our technical engineers will visit your home to perform a site survey.
We encourage potential customers to take an active role in this process to ensure that you have a full appreciation of what is required. Our system engineer will then prepare a fully itemised quotation, which details all of the equipment required to install a system which fully meets all of your home computer network requirements.
